The main roles of top management are to show the way in order for the teams to be able to identify what they are doing as a valuable part of the goal to reach.
Yahoo failed to do that...

You're totally right, Yahoo! will probably still exist. But, it would probably not be an important player anymore, and its influence on the market would definetely be lower than GOOG, AMZN or even new players such as Facebook and others...

I don't think because some internet startup are in the market since many years and they had never won a dollars and they still live,

The problem of Yahoo is not that he is not big, but not enough big for compete with google
